Hartley's blackcurrant jam

I think black currant is a fruit that is really not getting it's fair share of popularity/publicity. I read about it awhile ago and how describing it's benefits would start sounding like a snake oil advertisement, "twice the antioxidants of blueberries, four times the vitamin C of orange juice, as much potassium as bananas…."

Ever since I have been on the lookout for black currant containing products and I came across this jam by Hartley's recently. The kids were OK with it.

Sheep's milk yogurt

Since the twins liked goat milk yogurt I decided to let them try sheep's milk yogurt. Nothing odd or 'off' about it - the kids didn't notice anything different and when I tasted it neither did I.

I was looking up sheep's milk and there was an interesting table comparing milks of cow, goat, sheep and water buffalo. Sheep's milk has more of everything except cholesterol!

skyr.is icelandic yogurt

Another tasty and healthy way to sneak proteins and calcium into the twins. They have already had skyr before so this was not a big deal for them. I like this soft cheese because it does not have the chalky texture that some of the greek yogurts have.
