Bolthouse farms Hawaiian holiday

While still looking for their prickly-pear-cactus-lemonade I came across this passion-orange-guave juice from Bolthouse Farms.

The guava is there but something about the juice itself was not quite there. None of us were impressed with it - I think the bar was sort of set high by their swamp juice and C-boost.

B monster from Odwalla

In my attempt to buy non-Bolthouse Farm products, I picked up this B monster smoothie from Odwalla. It is pretty impressive by itself but nothing compared to the swamp juice.

A bit medicinal tasting for me but the kids loved it.

Bolthouse Farms blue goodness

After my success with the swamp juice I had to try the rest of the smoothies from Bolthouse Farms. I tried their C-boost and vedge and now for the blue goodness. It is pretty impressive nutritionally by itself but not as much as the green goodness. It was a bit medicinal tasting for the adults in the house but the twins were OK with it. No overt displays of likes or dislikes - just OK.

Bolthouse Farms C-boost fruit smoothie

Another great product from Bolthouse Farms. Sometimes I obsess about the vitamin C lost due to heating and storage from fresh produce. Well, with 1200% of vitamin C per serving my kids will get all the vitamin C they need for the day.

I add a few spoonfuls to their morning cereal sometimes and they also get it watered down when they want 'juch.' Just like green goodness.

Swamp juice

Bolthouse farms makes the perfect swamp juice. Named 'Green Goodness,' it is a fruit smoothie that has apples, banana, kiwi, mango, pineapple, spinach, broccoli, garlic, artichoke, algae, chlorella, spirulina……….. oh yes it so totally looks like the swamp juice, at least according to my imagination. If it was a clear bottle I probably would not have bought it - but after I opened it and braved a sip (after all I was going to try it on my kids) I knew they were going to love it. I add a few tablespoons to their breakfast and the first time my daughter actually requested (and by that I mean shouted the house down) I feed her a few spoonfuls directly.
